Paradise Quilts

I made this quilt about 6 years ago, and have not tended to my blog at all. More to come...

After the break for an international move in 2017, I spent most of my time in my glass studio. Happy to say I eventually was once again busy at the sewing machine - making hot pads, quilts, cushions, etc. 

Because there isn't a pattern available for what I've named Framed Bouquet Quilt, I had looked carefully and closely with a magnifying glass at a photo of a Kaffe quilt in a magazine in order to mimic the design. My floral prints are different from the original, but I'm very happy with the color scheme. 

I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed creating it and it looks fantastic on my bed. Everything about it is appealing to me: The fussy-cut flowers, the shot cotton frames, and the gorgeous OOP border that was offered to me for purchase...the same border shown in the original quilt ~ I was ecstatic!

This one brings me such joy!
